San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon…an action-packed jaunt through California
On arrival in San Francisco airport, transfer to your hotel and check-in. In the evening, watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean on the two-hour California Sunset Cruise. Sail along the San Francisco waterfront while enjoying spectacular views and light appetizers. Capture the essence of California’s magnificent evening sky from aboard Red and White Fleet’s California Sunset Cruise. Sail along San Francisco’s waterfront towards the Marin Headlands. Along the way, you will cruise past Alcatraz and Angel Island. The boat also steers down the breathtaking shorelines of Tiburon, Belvedere and Sausalito. Watch the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean, as you sail west towards the Golden Gate Bridge. On your way back to Fisherman’s Wharf, you will see many more famous sights, including the Presidio, the Marina District and Fort Mason.
After breakfast, begin the Yosemite Two-day Winter Hotel Tour. Immerse yourself in the beauty and solitude of Yosemite National Park in the winter season and run away with us for two days of crisp, fresh mountain air. Here you’ll witness a Yosemite that few tourists get to see: towering granite monoliths blanketed in snow and magnificent waterfalls frozen in time. At night, kick back with a warm drink, arrange a twilight or night hike, or hear stories told fireside at the historic Ahwahnee Hotel. During your free time, you’ll have the flexibility to craft your own experience: hike some of the valley trails, join a ranger program, go snowshoeing, ice skate, or take a guided tour of the valley floor. If you’re feeling adventurous, add an optional day ticket to Badger Pass for downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and tubing down the slopes surrounding the park (shuttle transport, gear rental, and lessons included)! Only the explorer who visits Yosemite National Park in the winter months will truly understand the exquisite silence and majestic views that endeared travelers like John Muir, Ansel Adams, and Theodore Roosevelt to this astounding landscape.
After breakfast, you have the day at leisure to explore Yosemite. Later, return to San Francisco for an overnight halt.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Los Angeles. On arrival in Los Angeles airport, transfer to your hotel and check in. Spend the day at leisure exploring the city.
After breakfast, set out for the full-day Grand Tour of Los Angeles. This is a comprehensive tour of Los Angeles, where you will see all of the main attractions, including Hollywood, Mann’s Chinese Theatre, the Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood sign, Kodak Theatre, Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip, Chinatown, Rodeo Drive, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Farmers Market. You will also see Olvera Street, Music Center, the Civic Center, Marina del Rey, Fisherman’s Village and Venice Beach.
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Las Vegas. On arrival in Las Vegas airport, transfer to your hotel and check-in. Enjoy the evening on the Champagne Night Tour. Our first stop will be the famous ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign for Picture Opportunities and a Champagne Toast’. You will also view the ‘Spectacular Fountains of Bellagio Hotel’. This amazing show is one of the largest water fountain shows known. Be amazed while these fountains are choreographed to various pieces of music, including songs such as ‘Viva Las Vegas’, ‘Luck Be a Lady’ and ‘My Heart Will Go On’. Explore the largest Chocolate Fountain in the World as you enjoy an inside look at the Bellagio Conservatory. We have saved the best for last − the most popular Las Vegas Lights and Sounds show brought to you in ‘Viva Vision’ as they play ‘Tribute to Queen’ at the Fremont Street Experience. More than 12 million LED lamps illuminate the overhead canopy. The Viva Vision display was designed and engineered by LG Electronics, who is also the primary corporate sponsor of the canopy. Within the canopy itself are 220 speakers powered by 550,000 watts of amplification.
After breakfast, proceed for the full-day Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tour to visit the South Rim Grand Canyon National Park. Your tour begins with a drive from Las Vegas to Hoover Dam in a comfortable motorcoach. You will cross over the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge to get a glimpse of the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Your stretch and smoke stop is is Kingman, Arizona where you can pick up a snack, beverage, or a souvenir. From Kingman you will travel to Williams, Arizona, home to the Grand Canyon Railway (National Register of Historic Places). Here you will have time for lunch and to browse the gift shop or the railway museum at the depot. After a short drive you will enter the Grand Canyon National Park. The stops include the new state of the art visitor center (offering information on all aspects of the Grand Canyon), Mather Point (the deepest part of the canyon), Yavapai Point (the widest part of the canyon), and Bright Angel Point (the most panoramic part of the canyon). You will have additional free time to browse the Grand Canyon Historic Village district area.
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel. Transfer to the Las Vegas airport to board your onward flight back home.
