From the Blue Mosque of Istanbul to the the natural hot springs of Pamukkale; from the antiquities of Athens to the cobbled lanes and white washed walls of Mykonos…explore these ancient lands across the azure waters of the Agean.

Day 1: Arrive Istanbul

On arrival at Istanbul airport, transfer and check-in to your hotel. Spend the night at Istanbul.

Day 2: At Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a half-day city tour of Istanbul. Visit the magnificent Byzantine church of St. Sophia. One of the finest architectural works in the world, this church has been nominated as the 8th wonder of the world by many historians. Then continue to the Blue Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Istanbul. Dating back to the 17th  century, this is one of the principal adornments on the skyline of Istanbul and is also famous for its blue tiles and six minarets. We will also visit the Hippodrome, the former centre of sporting and political activities in Constantinople. During the visit, you will be able to see the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi and the fountain of Willhelm II. Our final visit of the morning is to the Grand Bazaar, which in addition to its historical importance, is a bazaar that will tempt you with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs. During your tour you will also visit a leather or carpet shop.

Day 3: At Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel, set out on the Full-day Asia and Bosphorus Tour. On this tour, you will drive across the magnificent Bosphorus Suspension Bridge, which divides the continents of Europe and Asia. Then, we continue to Camlica Hill, the highest point of Istanbul. From here you can take photographs of the stunning panorama before you. A short drive from here is the summer palace of the Sultans, which is located in a small village by the Bosphorus called Beylerbeyi. The Beylerbeyi Palace is a mansion built under the influence of Western architecture in the 19th  century, and we will take a guided tour of its extravagantly decorated interior. During the day you will also visit the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, which is full of the mystical aromas of various spices and colourful shops selling fruits, vegetables, flowers and fish. You will also board a boat for a cruise along the Bosphorus, the waterway separating the two continents of Europe and Asia. As we travel, you will have the chance to see the European style palaces of the Ottomans and the palaces of Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi, in striking contrast to some of the modern villas that line the shores.

Day 4: Istanbul to Cappadocia

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and take a flight to Cappadocia. On arrival, transfer and check-in to the hotel and spend the night at Cappadocia.

Day 5: At Cappadocia

Today, take the Full-day Cappadocia Tour Including Dawn Hot Air Balloon Flight. Get the most from a day in Cappadocia with a sunrise hot air balloon ride and a full-day tour on this 12-hour experience. Absorb the stunning landscapes on a dawn balloon flight, preceded by a light breakfast and followed by champagne. Later, enjoy a comprehensive tour, including a walk in the Red and Rose Valleys and visits to Cavusin and Kaymakli Underground City. Lunch, entrance fees and hotel transfers are included in this tour.

Day 6: Cappadocia to Izmir

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to the airport for your Flight to Izmir. On arrival in Izmir, transfer and check-in to the hotel. You have the day to spend at leisure at Izmir.

Day 7:  Excursion to Pamukkale and Hierapolis

After breakfast at the hotel, take the Full Day Tour to Pamukkale and Hierapolis. This 9-hour tour from Izmir explores the natural hot springs of Pamukkale and the ancient spa city of Hierapolis. This small-group tour is limited to 14 people, which allows for a more personalised experience of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll along plateaus made up of white travertine rock while learning about the region’s geology from your guide. Pamukkale has natural hot springs, shallow pools and stalactites formed by calcium deposits. While discovering the natural beauty of Pamukkale, you can also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. Bring your swim gear so that you can soak in the warm waters of Hierapolis’ natural spring pools, which contain large fragments of Roman ruins. This tour includes a guide, lunch, entrance fees, and round-trip transfers.

Day 8: Izmir to Athens

After breakfast, check-out of your hotel and transfer to Izmir airport for your flight to Athens On Arrival in Athens, transfer and check-in into the Hotel. You have the rest of the day to spend at leisure.

Day 9: At Athens

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on the Athens Half-day Sightseeing Tour with Acropolis Museum. This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides take you to see the centre of the city including Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. At the Acropolis, we visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and, finally, the monument that ‘puts order in the mind’, the Parthenon. You will also pay a visit to the fantastic New Acropolis Museum.

Day 10: Excursion to Delphi

After breakfast, set out on a full-day tour of Delphi. Drive through the fertile plain of Boeotia, passing the towns of Thebes, connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus, Levadia and Arachova, famous for its colourful rugs and carpets. Then we arrive at Delphi, the centre of the ancient world, called the ‘Omphalos’ (navel of the earth). On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, and the Museum containing masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete, Aghias.

Day 11: Athens to Mykanos

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Mykonos by ferry. On arrival, check-in to the hotel, and spend the night at Mykanos.

Day 12: At Mykanos

After breakfast at the hotel, you have the day to spend at leisure!

Day 13: Depart Mykonos

After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and transfer to Athens by ferry to take your flight back home.
